High pressure is ushering in enhanced showers and winds. Remnant moisture from the weakening front to the north is getting caught up in the trades and blown back over the islands this evening. Winds will be breezy behind this front until another front moves toward the islands to cut our trades off yet again on Tuesday. We may see a brief period of hazy skies during that time as well.
The HIGH SURF ADVISORY is posted for most north and west facing shores. A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY is also up for most island waters due to a combination of high winds and high surf. And, a WIND ADVISORY is posted for the summits of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa.
